the event was a fundraiser for a local non profit organisation that builds strong communities through a variety of ways and they had stephen lewis as the keynote speaker and jian ghomeshi (a canadian semi-celebrity from our public broadcaster) hosted the event.
it was great! lots of talk about millenium development goals, poverty, and what needs to be done in canada and abroad.
