small battles win the war

I was just reading that article and then on the news the story came up. Strange coincidence. It's a good thing!!!

it's a great thing!! and means that my work has done something, which is even better. they mentioned our organisation in today's news too, yay!

kind of strange that there was a quote about "i'm glad this happened here" or something like that. i know that clearly the person just meant that they are glad that there were arrests made and people helped, but it just seemed like a strange thing to say...

i can't even imagine what it would be like to move somewhere thinking you were moving toward something better and end up as a slave.

i think the jist of that comment was that it has finally happened in western canada as the legislation has been in place since 2005 and this is the first time it has been used to charge traffickers west of ontario.

but it does sound a little odd saying that something bad could be good.
